That 8” chef knife is great and still one of my favorites. I don’t see anything on reddit about these knives, and there’s very little online at all. These Ikea knives piqued my interest though because how some people praise VG-10 and typically love the way damascus looks regardless of it having any added benefits or not. VG-10 is sort of getting into the realm of knife enthusiast, where practicality is lost and workmanship/materials come in. Most VG-10 blades/models run for $100+ depending on the brand. They tend to often be hand-made (or at least partly hand-made).
